Hi,
HOPE THIS MAKES THE BLOGGER PAGE.
Spanish instructions only can be a challenge.
I completed the Camino on Tues May 22nd...610 kms...28 days...long walk. Wonderful experience. Followed all the other knapsacks and picked up my Compestela...certificate of completion.
Took the bus to Finisterre...another 87 kms ...some folks hike.
I am staying here, beside the ocean....my favourite place on earth, for 3 days to recover. It is wonderful. I am atop a hill nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the straits of Finisterre.
Did make the short trek up the mountain...3kms to end of Camino = Finisterre...did my token burning...rather amusing...tell you later...met lots of folks I had already met on Camino.
Tomorrow I head back to Santiago via bus and then to Madrid on Sunday.
Monday back to Toronnto...almost 6 weeks later.
Have been looking at For Sale signs here...would love to see Camino that skirts The Bay of Biscay. Maybe buy an albergue ...work mid-Apr to mid-May.
Adios,
Anne

EARTH TO BLOG
contact? Wow...long walk...I am in Rabanal today....I did Fast Forward myself...took bus from Burgos to Leon (both amazing cities...) . I was running out of time....I am taking a rest day every 6 or 7 days...sometimes doing less than a section...some are quite long...So I´ll probably be at about 600 kms in next 2 weeks. Finally we have nice weather...sun...almost hot at times.
Fred, you said the Burgos Cathedral took 300 years to build? Wow...it is stunning.
I have seen so many cathedrals that right now they are blurring...just like the towns & villages.
Glad to be back in foothills...heading to O´Cebreiro...mountains are my favourite. Scenery is awesome.
I am journalling as well.
Love you all. Happy Trails.
